Tokyo American Club

The Tokyo American Club is a large facility in Tokyo created by a Japanese constructor who took great pride in their abilities and detailing. Richard Turlington Architects' role was helping PCPA with detailing many of the spatial “experiences” throughout this facility including the main lounge space and several restaurants.

This project is a good example of the art that can emerge from collaboration. Together, Pelli Clarke & Partners Architects, RTA, and the constructor who pushed the envelope of construction means and methods, erected a beautifully composed and detailed building.
