The musicians space

Richard Turlington Architects, Inc. designed this rehearsal space for Yale University's Battell Professor of the Theory of Music and his wife, a world renowned pianist. Our design team centered this project on creating an intimate space capable of supporting sound from a concert grand piano. The cross gabled music room integrates an unobtrusive acoustical design approach relying on volume and complex angles to alternate sound. The expressed structural frame defines an internal volume comfortable for intimate seating.
