The UCONN Supplemental Utility plant will provide additional research and teaching space on campus. Construction started with mass excavation in September 2020, and the project is expected to be LEED Gold Certified upon completion.
The project includes the construction of a new electrical substation that connects to the existing utilities and is being built concurrently with the adjacent Science 1 Building (designed by Payette Architects).
