We’re so excited to announce the 5th Annual Gingerbread House Competition in support of Make-A-Wish Connecticut! Your participation in this fun event helps grant life-changing wishes to local children fighting critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish brings joy year-round, but creating cheerful memories for these families during the holidays is especially meaningful.
Since starting this initiative in 2019, we’ve seen designs with more creativity than we ever thought possible using the simple materials provided in a gingerbread house kit. Now we know the sky is the limit, and we can’t wait to see this year’s entries!
How it works
You can join this years event, spreading kindness and love to Connecticut children and families in 3 simple steps:
1. Sign up (details below)
2. Receive gingerbread house kit at your home or office
3. Submit photos of your entry for voting
While you’re designing and constructing your gingerbread masterpiece with family and friends, take inspiration from the resilience and bravery shown by Make-A-Wish children, their siblings, parents, and everyone who loves them.
This year we will be awarding prizes to the top 6 winners (by votes)! Make-A-Wish Connecticut children will also select 1 entry to receive the, "Wish Kids Choice Award Winner".
Choose your donation:
$100 entry fee provides an individual or team of any size with all the materials needed to build a complete house. Teams are encouraged to use outside materials too!
$500 entry fee provides 1 Gingerbread House Kit donation to a Make-A-Wish kid, and you'll get a chance to personally share the holiday spirit with that child via video/phone message shared with you.
$1,000 entry fee includes an exclusive invite to the Make-A-Wish private event, "Winter Wonderland" on December 15th, hosted by the WWE (wrestlers will attend event!) and create a gingerbread house with a wish family. You'll also be recognized in Make-A-Wish Connecticut monthly e-newsletter.
How to Enter:
To participate in this festive fundraiser, please RSVP by email at Info@RT-Arch.com by Friday, November 17th, 2023.
In your RSVP please include:
1. Primary contact name, phone number, and email.
2. Number of participants on your team, their names, and your team’s chosen name which will be used with your submission.
3. Address where you’d like the Gingerbread Kit sent.
4. Tier in which you would like to participate.

Teams have until Saturday, Dec. 16th to complete their creations and submit photos and video for voting.
Online voting will open on Wednesday, December 20th, allowing everyone to vote for their favorite creation. Voting concludes on January 1st!
Winners will be announced online on January 2nd.

12/16: Deadline to submit photos and video of your house
12/20: Voting opens! Vote as many times as you want!
01/02: Winners are announced online
