City Tower 1, Dubai
This mixed-use, high-end skyscraper in Dubai is home to lavish apartments that appear to stretch into thin air, offices, retail shops, and an adjoining car park with an amenity deck fit with an infinity pool. The roof of the parking garage is covered with amenity functions including a club pavilion, child care facility, tennis courts, and gym.
The car park is attached to the tower by a port-cochere with an elevated foot bridge to safely and comfortably transport its residents. The total area accounts for over 1.5M sqft, and the tower is 1200 ft tall. The overall design shimmers with a sense of elegance and delicacy, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to selecting only the finest quality finishes and furnishings.
Richard Turlington Architects was retained by Cesar Pelli and Associates to prepare the design development and construction documents as well as assist with bidding and negotiation. Construction began in 2021, and RTA is expected to assist in on-site construction observation services to ensure the design intent is fully realized.
