Silver Hill Hospital
Martin Center
Pain Management Unit
Richard Turlington Architects designed the Pain Management area within the Martin Center Building at Silver Hill Hospital. It includes a suite of physicians' offices, exam rooms, and a room for group therapy and meetings.
We had patients in mind while crafting the interior design, so we included comfortable, supportive, and aesthetically pleasing furniture with layered textures. Our goal was to generate a positive and memorable experience.
Further expounding upon this initiative, we added skylights and glass doors to emphasize each rooms' natural light and bright colors. These features set the Pain Management space uniquely apart from the rest of the 25,000 sq. ft. facility, which houses a full-size gymnasium and pool.
Throughout the project, we remembered that healthcare specialists in Pain Management treat patients with severe, chronic inflammation. Using a holistic design approach, we implemented aesthetically pleasing and unique finishes that aid the therapeutic process. As healthcare designers, we take pride in developing thoughtful designs to improve patients’ quality of life.
