Yikai Qiao
Yikai is originally from Suzhou, China. He became interested in architecture during high school, influenced by the traditional architecture in his city and driven by his love for painting and curiosity about spatial design.
He attended Soochow University for his undergraduate degree, learning about modern architecture and traditional Chinese gardens. After that, he attended Yale School of Architecture to keep exploring broader fields of design. Yikai joined Richard Turlington Architects in 2023 after his graduation.
Before starting his architectural journey at RTA, Yikai completed internships at several leading architectural and tech firms, participating in multidisciplinary design projects from interior design of fashion stores to environmental design in gaming.
Outside of work, Yikai is a photography lover and an active member of student groups. He's actively participated in some TV shows and staging activities and loves studying the art of cooking.
