Shelley Livingston is an Architectural Intern at Richard Turlington Architects. At RTA, Shelley specializes in advanced information modeling and architectural visualization. Shelley graduated cum laude from the University of Hartford with a degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. Shelley is a fastidious and thoughtful designer. In her technical detailing she is concise and aware of the story that needs to be told. Shelley is self-motivated in her desire to learn more about her profession often suggesting great classes to enhance her knowledge base. She has a natural ability to engage clients and consultants making them feel safe and at ease. She is adept at working at multiple different scales at the same time, for instance while detailing a small lab she seamlessly transitions to detailing a massive utility structure.
In her spare time, Shelley is a talented and avid photographer. Also, a compassionate animal lover, Shelley spends a lot of her time with her two dogs and several birds and participates in architecture design contests. She spends summers enjoying the beach at her family’s cottage in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. She has an interest in Chinese and Japanese architecture as well as in ecclesiastical architecture. This passion inspires her to travel and to learn more about these cultures
